Apple Cider Vinegar + Herb + Rose Toner

Rosemary, lavender, sage, rose petals, lemon peel...
It sounds like a pretty great mash up to put on your face. As we remove chemical based products with unknown, complicated ingredients from our cabinets we're replacing these creams and washes with homemade or store bought all natural products. Little by little. With some patience, this gives you months of toner and some peace of mind about what you're putting on your fancy face.

There are no shortage of mixture ideas and positive reviews of this so give it a google. A few highlights of the glowing benefits:
-Rich in minerals & highly alkalinizing
-Balances pH of skin
-Improves overall complexion and evens skin tone
-Reduces appearance of pores
-Dissolves dead skin cells

Our personal potion was based on convenience... whatever we had in the garden and cupboard...and adapted from this recipe.

1/2 cup fresh lavender
1/4 cup dried lavender
1 tbsp dried lemon peel
2 tbsp fresh rosemary
2 tbsp fresh sage
1/2 cup dried rose petals
Apple cider vinegar to cover

Cover the herbs and petals with enough (plus an inch or two) ACV in a widemouth glass jar and let sit for two weeks, shaking every day to ensure all herbs are well soaked. After two weeks drain the ACV from the herbs and mix 1 tbsp of ACV with 3/4 cup water and a generous pour of almond oil and lavender oil. I put mine in a small glass spray bottle. Spray it on your face (or hair! or legs! or anywhere!) in the morning and night. Keep the rest of the ACV mixture in the tightly sealed jar indefinitely out of sunlight. xx!
