For Love of the Moon Recommends: The Endless Summer

In 1966, two surfers, Mike Hynson and Robert August, set off on an epic quest for the perfect wave. Filmmaker Bruce Brown followed the pair and documented the trip, which led them around the world—from California to Africa to Australia to Hawaii. In many cases, they were surfing in uncharted territory - virgin waters that a surfboard had never touched. In their desire to chase summer around the globe, constantly finding ideal surfing conditions, they end up meeting locals, teaching a group of African kids how to ride waves, finding unbelievably beautiful beaches, and dodging sharks . With a killer soundtrack of surf-rock legends, The Sandals, the movie charmingly captures two rad dudes hanging ten. .  ,
