Music Mash Up

Music Mash Up is where we pick some of our favorite music videos and performances - old and new - for your viewing and audio pleasure.

One of our favorite songs of all time, "Lorelei" by The Cocteau Twins has a chill lo-fi video to accompany the mellow and haunting song.

We really can't get enough of Thee Oh Sees. The San Francisco-based group defies general music categories, but we'll say it's California experimental pop at its best. The video for "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster" is bizarrely captivating but polished at the same time.

Known as the "High Priestess of Soul," songstress and musician Nina Simone performed with an unprecedented style that fused jazz, blues, soul, gospel, and folk. This performance of "I've Got Life" is as infectious as it gets.

Poolside's "Slow Down" has got us seriously considering relocating to California. Especially since it's freezing here.

Nirvana's beautiful early recording of "Seasons in the Sun" kills us.
