Wake Up with For Love of the Moon!

One thing we take very seriously, besides our vintage, music, and wine (ahem) is food. We don't take what we put into our bodies lightly, and that starts first thing in the morning. We make this smoothie every morning (or some variation of it), and it feels wonderful to get all of these good nutrients in our bodies first thing. Disclaimer: we have a giant coffee afterwards, we aren't perfect!  

Put all of the below ingredients into a blender (we use an immersion blender and it works beautifully), and blend until smooth. We add 1/2 cup of warm water or almond milk to make the consistency thinner. 


Why these particular ingredients? Well they taste awesome together, but they're also super good for you.

Here are a bunch of reasons you should make this smoothie too:

Contains anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties
Stabilizes blood pressure
Calms nerves
Can aid in allergy relief

Blueberries
Good source of vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber
Can help prevent high blood pressure
Helps reduce stress

Chia Seeds
Good source of fiber
Good source of calcium 
Good source of Omega-3 fatty acid
